How to submit to the ACE Awards

In our continued effort to make the submission process as easy as possible, we will be continuing to use the Iceberg awards management software.

Things to Note

  • You will need to register at the submission site.
  • It’s like a shopping cart – you register for an account then create your entries and put them in the cart. When you’re done, you can “check out” and submit the entries.
  • that entry is given an ID number. This is the ID number that you must attach to any physical submissions.

  • The ACE Awards are open to any Edmonton and area company or individual. Entries must have been created and/or produced by Edmonton and area-based companies and must have been published, distributed, or broadcasted in their original form for the first time between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
  • Entries must comply with the digital and physical preparation and submission guidelines by 5:00 p.m. the day entries are due. The early bird deadline is January 20, 2023, with an extended digital submission deadline of February 15, 2023.
  • Deadline for physical entries will be February 10, 2023. Drop off location will be at Kick Media’s office (Unit 310, 12420 104 Avenue NW). Please refer to the categories guide for submission details. Contact [email protected] about questions.
  • Please ensure no company or individual identifying marks are present on digital and/or physical submissions.
  • We strongly encourage digital submissions where possible.

Physical submissions are required for the following categories for the 44th annual ACE Awards. 

  • Brochure/print collateral
  • Print Series
  • Print Single
  • Packaging
  • Craft – Printing

Physical entries for all other categories that do not require it are still welcomed. Deadline for physical entries is February 10, 2023 @ 5:00pm. Drop off location will be at Kick Media’s office (Unit 310, 12420 104 Ave NW).

Uploaded digital files will be used for ACE on Display and in the ACE Awards Winners book.

  • Images/Photos: All entries must be submitted as a hi-res JPG, PNG, or GIF (300 dpi), maximum dimensions 11” along any side (11” x 11” maximum square). Max 25MB. Tear sheets do not need to be uploaded. Submissions should not have crop marks or include the non-printable area.
  • Video: MPG, MPEG, MOV, AVI, MP4.  Max 1GB – Video is powered by Vimeo. Please follow their recommended settings for best results.
  • Audio: MP3 and WAV file formats accepted.
  • Documents: PDF file format accepted.
  • Website: URL field will be available. Any Usernames and Passwords necessary should be included as a PDF.

Entrants agree to have their work shown at ACE on Display, the ACE Awards show, in the ACE Awards Winners book, on the ACE website, in supporting media (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and in any media advertising the ACE Awards.
