When watching the spots for the Kingdom of Ardrossan, it’s hard to believe we only spent $20K to produce them all—yes, that includes cast, H&MU, usage, location, and more. The $20K budget was stretched to deliver top-quality execution. Ardrossan itself became our perfect backdrop, with showhomes generously lending locations. Our improv-trained cast brought the humour, and even the horse is actually Instagram-famous. Efficiency in shoot days and our Director’s finesse made this project shine—a true chef’s kiss to a tight-budget masterpiece.
Client - Provincial Archives of Alberta
The Provincial Archives of Alberta is the official government archives for the province, it’s people, and their stories. We knew from the outset that the most unique visuals would be found in the archives themselves. Working with the archivist team, we identified a dynamic collection of images representing all corners of the province. Next, we depth mapped each photograph, added parallax and atmospheric vfx, and live grain overlays to bring the images to life. Filming took place throughout the facility with staff and authentic researchers. A handheld and dolly based capture added energy to the footage. A custom score and consistent colour space (across footage and photography) brought it all together.
Client - Explore Edmonton
The world loves food content, and what better way to showcase an event centre’s offerings than by putting the chef front and center. The Edmonton Convention Centre and it’s Executive Chef Serge Belair, took us from the potato fields of Northern Alberta to the depths of his commercial kitchen. With a bit of re-lighting and a lot of unplugging perilously noisy fans (as much as we were allowed), our team transformed a rugged utilitarian kitchen into a cooking show set. Leaning into slow motion capture and other cooking show favourites, this branded content video brought a human face to your next conference banquet and showed the expertise of the team behind the food.
