It was time for the Edmonton Football Club to retire a controversial name. This rebrand needed to create excitement – and acceptance – among loyal, new and prospective fans. And create civic pride. The rebrand included community and stakeholder consultations. COVID added a layer of complexity to the production of the video that would launch the new brand. Due to travel restrictions for players and strict facility capacity restrictions we only had access to two players. While creating anticipation for the name reveal we also created anticipation for the return of the game.
