The Rising Star Award celebrates emerging creative talent in Edmonton’s advertising and creative community. This portfolio-based award recognizes early-career professionals who show exceptional promise, skill, and creative excellence.

One to two Rising Star recipients will be selected annually.

Entries are judged by the same jury as the ACE Awards, evaluating creative excellence, technical merit, and suitability for end use, with consideration given to the nominee’s level of professional experience.

Eligibility requirements

The Rising Star Award is open to creative professionals working in Edmonton as art/creative directors, copywriters, graphic designers, or illustrators.

Entrants must be 30 years of age or younger by January 30 of the award year, or be within the first five years of their professional careers.

Proof of age and professional experience may be required.
