How do you inspire Albertans to register for a 200km cycling fundraiser as their resolution? In the week leading up to New Year’s, Alberta Cancer Foundation aired this reimagination of Auld Lang Syne featuring a bicycle bell choir punctuated by the Bell of Hope—the bell rung by cancer survivors to celebrate the end of their treatment.

It’s the people who think they are least likely to start a wildfire who do. Alberta was coming off one of its worst wildfire years in history. As the new wildfire season approached, we needed to get these seasoned outdoors people to imagine they could be the one starting a catastrophic wildfire through their careless actions. And that nobody wants to be that person.

“The Kingdom of Ardrossan” worked well as an audio placement as we positioned our hero talent as a town-cryer. He boasts about all the perks and benefits of living in Ardrossan, delivering on each of our reasons to believe seamlessly with our tone of voice. Sound effects and a somewhat old-world accent helped bring our script (and campaign) to life in this medium. This ad ran on Spotify along with accompanying digital banners. Our targeting was hyper-focused on Edmonton and the surrounding areas, along with potential home buyers.
